First Aid/CPR/AED – English


The goal of our First Aid/CPR/AED class is for participants to gain or improve knowledge and skill proficiency in adult First Aid/CPR/AED. This class includes flexible instructional tools for developing proficiency via demonstration and prompted practice including scenario-based problem-solving exercises with feedback.

Approved for 3 CE Credits with Oregon CCB

Certificate valid for 2 years

1:00 pm to 4:00 pm


Live Class – Students must have means of transportation to classroom facilities (facility is ADA compliant).

Students must bring valid and government issued photo ID.

Class instructor will be available in person between 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm am PST on the day of class.

Students who successfully complete the First Aid/CPR/AED training Class will become certified as an American Heart Association (AHA) individual.

Describe how to recognize an emergency.

Describe how to prioritize care for injuries and sudden illnesses.

Describe the purpose of Good Samaritan laws.

Identify how to reduce the risk of disease transmission when giving care.


Recognize the signals of a Cardiac Emergency.

Identify the links in the Cardiac Chain of Survival.

Describe how to care for a Heart Attack.

List the causes of Cardiac Arrest.

Explain the role of CPR in Cardiac Arrest.

Demonstrate how to perform CPR.

Recognize the signals of a breathing emergency.

Demonstrate how to care for a person who’s choking.

Explain what Defibrillation is.

Explain how the Defibrillator works. Identify precautions when using an AED on a person in sudden.

Demonstrate how to use an AED.

First Aid/CPR/AED reflects the latest resuscitation science and treatment recommendations published by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), and it conforms with the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC and the Annual Guidelines Update.
